Marco Giradello Talks About Growing Demand for Automotive Aesthetics and Haptics

In recent years, the demand for automotive applications requiring the combination of rubber-feel surface over rigid substrates (ABS, PC, PC/ABS) has increased significantly. The overmolding of soft TPEs delivers advantages in the functional, visual and haptic properties of a product.

The TPE Magazine International recently invited Marco Girardello, Trinseo’s Business Unit Manager TPE Solutions Automotive, to talk about the Trinseo’s new soft-touch product range and future industry trends.

In the article, Girardello also provides insights into Trinseo’s Specialized Overmolding Center (SOC), enabling experts to measure the adhesion between soft and rigid components in accordance with VDI 2019.
