Students from the University of Hong Kong Tour Trinseo’s Tsing Yi Plant

On October 11, 2022, Trinseo welcomed chemistry students to its Tsing Yi Plant and Technical Center in Hong Kong for the fifth year. The tour was led by Dr. Vanessa Li, Research Assistant Professor at the University of Hong Kong.

Tiffany Zhang, Trinseo Production Leader and Tony Chan, Trinseo EH&S Delivery Specialist provided the students with detailed information about Trinseo and company operations. Their presentation was followed by a tour of the manufacturing facilities, including the processing area and the control room. Much of the presentation was focused on Trinseo’s commitment to sustainability and the company’s focus on operating responsibly with respect to the environment, health and safety, and the manufacturing process. The presentation concluded with an informative Q&A session.

As one of the few chemical plants in Hong Kong, Trinseo provided the chemistry students with a valuable view of chemical processes and the essential role they could play in creating a more sustainable future within the industry.
