“Trinseo + ME” is an exclusive series of interviews with our employees. Let’s take a look at the story of Masaaki Hagihara, Business Manager for Plastics Sales, who services Trinseo’s key customers in Japan.

Hagihara joined Trinseo after graduating from university. Initially, he was in charge of technology and innovation. Later, to support the company's growing business development needs, he transitioned to different capacities such as business development and marketing. During his 32-year service with the company, he once worked in Trinseo's local joint venture in Japan, and has served in his current role until now. Hagihara’s role not only helped grow the business and generate revenue for Trinseo, but also solves material supply and technical challenges for his customers to achieve win-win solutions.
